The Election Commission has stated that employees deployed in the election must follow the conduct stipulated in the law related to their service group as well as the conduct stipulated in the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.

The Election Code of Conduct, 2082 issued by the Commission, contains provisions regarding conduct, including that no employee should campaign for or against a candidate or political party. The code of conduct states that employees and security personnel involved in the election must perform their official duties truthfully and impartially, and that employees of the Government of Nepal, provincial governments or local levels or persons holding public office should not travel or be sent abroad for any purpose other than traveling abroad to represent the country during the election period without the prior approval of the Election Commission.

Similarly, candidates, political parties, fraternal organizations of political parties or related persons should not be allowed to use buildings, guest houses, auditoriums, vehicles or other materials of the Government of Nepal, provincial governments, local levels or public institutions, the Commission has stated.
