Complaints against violations of the election code of conduct are being received even at the district level and necessary action is being taken. The Commission is taking necessary investigation and action on the complaints received to ensure effective compliance with the election code of conduct and minimize the incidents of violations. Legal Officer Mohanraj Joshi said that the Central Code of Conduct Monitoring Committee, District Code of Conduct Monitoring Committee, District Code of Conduct Monitoring Officer and the concerned election offices are active for the effective implementation of the code of conduct.

In order to make the implementation of the code of conduct at the district level effective and ensure its implementation, the Assistant Chief District Officers of all 77 districts have been designated as Code of Conduct Monitoring Officers to monitor non-financial matters and the Chief Fund Controller/Fund Controllers in financial matters, as per Section 32 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082. The Commission has stated that the work of informing stakeholders in all districts about the code of conduct and making them commit to following the code of conduct is being done effectively in a short time. It has also been stated that the process of legal action has been taken against those found guilty by demanding clarifications from the districts themselves regarding the complaints received at the district level.

The Commission has stated that out of 1,076 complaints received so far, 1,061 have been resolved. It is stated that more complaints have been received in the districts of Lumbini Province alleging that political parties and candidates violated the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.
