The Election Commission has announced that the printing of ballot papers for the proportional representation system began on 12 December and was completed on 13 January.
The Election Commission has stated that the printing of ballot papers for 88 constituencies in 37 districts for the upcoming House of Representatives elections has been completed.
The commission's assistant spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC informed that 19.963 million ballot papers have been printed so far.
So far, ballot papers have been printed in 37 districts including Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum (western part), Salyan, Surkhet, Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Baitadi, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Panchthar, Ilam, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Dhankuta, Baglung, Gulmi, Jhapa, Gorkha, Myagdi, Parbat and Bardaghat Susta West Nawalparasi. He said that the ballot papers of these districts have also been packed.
Printing of ballot papers for the election of members of the House of Representatives under the proportional electoral system and the first past the post electoral system has started at Janak Shiksha Samagri Kendra Limited, Sanothimi since 22 December. The Commission has stated that in the first phase, 1 million 98 thousand 200 sample ballot papers have been printed and sent to various districts.
Printing of ballot papers for the proportional electoral system has started since 26 December and 28 million 30 thousand ballot papers have been printed and packed and checked on 13 Magh, the Commission has stated that they are being prepared for transportation.
