A regular meeting of the Central Security Committee has been held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal. The meeting was held at the Home Ministry to discuss the security strategy focused on the upcoming elections.

The meeting of the committee, chaired by the Home Minister, will be attended by the Home and Defense Secretaries as well as the heads and representatives of all four security agencies.

The meeting reviewed the work being carried out by the responsible agencies, manpower mobilization and arrangement plans as per the Integrated Election Security Plan, 2082, which has already been passed by the Central Security Committee and is being implemented, targeting the upcoming House of Representatives elections.

The meeting decided to activate all the mechanisms formed to coordinate the election program. Similarly, it has also decided to direct all district security committees to strengthen and ensure security arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of political parties and candidates' campaigns. The meeting has also decided to make social media monitoring effective to control misuse during election campaigning and to take strict action if it is found to be illegal.
