The Congress special general convention filled the tea and snack shops at Bhrikuti Mandap.

The special general convention of the Nepali Congress has filled the tea and snack shops around Bhrikuti Mandap, the convention venue.

With the increasing number of delegates and workers, the snack shops are filled with tea and snacks.

Raju Dahal, the owner of Food Bench Mark located inside the Bhrikutimandap, said that the shops have been crowded since the morning since the start of the general convention. In particular, the sale of tea, biscuits, samosas, pakodas, chowmein, aluchana and mam has increased. 'There is more than four times more business than on a normal day,' he said.

Shopkeepers said that the snack shops that were temporarily opened due to the general convention are also doing good business. Delegates from outside districts are attracted to such shops because they get cheap and fast service.

According to shopkeepers, such activities during political meetings and conferences directly benefit businesses.
