Discussions are underway between Rastriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra (Balen) Shah on how to proceed in the upcoming elections.
Mayor Shah had a discussion with Minister of Energy, Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development and patron of Ujjaya Nepal Kulman Ghising on Thursday morning. Only then did the discussion take place with Lamichhane. Shah is discussing with various parties regarding the merger of alternative political forces. The leader said, 'Today, preparations are being made for an agreement between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Mayor Balen. Accordingly, we are preparing an agreement. After our agreement, the RSS will discuss how to go with the Ujjaya Nepal Party,' the leader said. The representatives of the RSS and Mayor Shah have been discussing since Friday morning. The discussions are being led by Shishir Khanal and Asim Shah of the RSS and Kumar Ben and Bhupdev Shah from Balen. According to the leaders participating in the discussion on behalf of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Mayor Shah, the discussion with Ujjaj Nepal will proceed only after an agreement is reached between Ravi and Balen.
