Due to the floods in Bhotekoshi on Tuesday, the life of people in the northern area of ​​Rasuwa has been affected. Due to the flood, Syafrubensi-Rasuwagadhi road has been completely blocked and essential services such as electricity, internet and telephone have also stopped.

The road has been damaged in Syafrubensi-Rasuwagadhi section. The road from Syafrabensi to Rasuwagadhi is blocked. People are trekking from here for about four and a half hours. After the flood, the businessmen here have reached by helicopter and some of them are walking for hours. 

The flood has caused great damage to the main dam of the Rasuwagadhi hydropower project, and it is estimated that 30-40 cargo vehicles parked at the Rasuwagadhi customs yard, which were undergoing customs inspection, were washed away, said Nasu Chandiraj Gelal of the customs office. He also said that more than 100 other electric vehicles parked here were swept away.  

 

The residential area of ​​Rasuwagadhi hydropower project has also been washed away and 8 Hilux vehicles parked here have also been swept away by landslides. Though the flood has caused great damage and disrupted essential services, no initiative has been taken by the government.

There has been no effort to collect and repair damage details and service operations. Kamichhiring Tamang, Ward President of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-2, said that the flood has disrupted the life here. 

'Tuesday morning at 3:30 a.m. there was a sudden flood. We have been engaged in rescue since then,' he said, 'Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police are present here. But the initiative that the government should take during the disaster, could not be done.'
