CPN (Unified Socialist) MP Rajendra Pandey claimed that some secretaries had put pressure on the government to remove the 'cooling period' provision proposed in the Federal Civil Service Bill by warning of joint resignations.
Speaking at Thursday's meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Pandey claimed that the government did not move the civil service bill due to threats from employees.
He urged the government to present the bill in parliament without delay.
Pandey said, "I have heard that some employees are blocking the bringing of this bill by acting threateningly to cancel the cooling period proposed in the federal civil service bill." Mr. Speaker, the government should not lose its footing. Bring it immediately. 25 secretaries resign and new joint secretaries get jobs. It is heard that the government has decided to stop the Federal Civil Service Bill, which was stalled even after being on the agenda last Tuesday.
In the Civil Service Bill, the State Order and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives has made a provision to apply a 'cooling period' after retirement in the case of government employees.
according to which a government employee cannot get a constitutional or other appointment for two years after resigning or retiring.
