The meeting of the House of Representatives will be held only at 1 pm on Wednesday. In the meeting held on Monday, the meeting was adjourned for half an hour without entering the agenda due to the obstruction of the opposition.
The opposition parties have been blocking the House of Representatives meeting since May 13, demanding that the Home Minister Ramesh Lekhtar should resign and a high-level investigation committee should be formed in the case of visit visa.
In the earlier meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire asked for assistance in the conduct of the meeting as efforts were being made to reach an agreement between the parties. But the opposition parties adjourned the meeting after taking a stand that they would not allow the parliament to operate until the demand was met.
Speaker Ghimire has been continuously discussing to remove the obstruction of the Parliament and the parties have speeded up the mutual discussion and coordination. The ruling Congress party is holding separate discussions with the opposition parties on the issue of removing obstruction in Parliament. Even though the Maoist center was relaxed in the matter, the National Independent Party and the Congress could not come to an agreement.
