The government has appointed Vishwa Poudel as the governor of Nepal Rastra Bank  . Minister of Communications and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung, who is also the spokesperson of the government, informed that Paudel was appointed as the governor at the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday. With this decision of the government, Poudel has become the 18th governor.

RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden has expressed that he will allow Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to use the helicopter facility to escape from the country.
