India has imposed a ban on the import of ready-made garments and food items from Bangladesh . On Saturday, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under the Ministry of Commerce of India has issued a notification in this regard. The ban imposed by DGFT has been implemented immediately. Under these restrictions, import permits for ready-made garments from Bangladesh will not be granted from any port.
