Due to the India-Pakistan conflict, the armed police are patrolling the border area with force. In view of the recent regional security situation, the Armed Police Force Nepal (APF) has conducted 312 patrols and 1844 checkpoints in the border area in 48 hours.
In 48 hours from Tuesday morning to Thursday morning, 84 joint patrols and 228 single patrols have been conducted in the border area in collaboration with the Indian counterpart Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Joint patrolling with SSB has been done on 23rd Baisakh, 20th, 24th 16th and 25th 48th . Similarly, APF co-spokesman DSP Shailendra Thapa informed that 89 single patrols were carried out on 23rd Baisakh, 64 on 24th and 75 on 25th.
Similarly, checkpoints have been placed at 1,844 places in the border area. APF has informed that border patrolling and checking work has been continued. Spokesperson Thapa said that more than 10,000 armed police forces of Nepal have been mobilized from the offices under the 7 Vaidyanath Bahini headquarters in Kailali.
