Patricia Fernandez Pacheco, Nepal representative of UN Women, said that it is difficult for women to stay in politics all over the world.
She said this while speaking in the third session of the fifth edition of the 'Nirvik Nari: Nari Shakti in the Leadership' program organized by Kantipur Media Group's Nari Magazine on Wednesday.
In 2023, 36 women were in the top leadership of the country, which is 18 percent of the world. But by the end of the year, only 31 women could remain in the top leadership, she said.
Similarly, she said that women in Nepal are lagging behind in terms of social values. She mentioned that the political access that came to Nepal in 2017 has also declined now.
