The police kept Civil Liberation Party leader Resham Chaudhary in jail for about five hours without even examining the letter written by the Supreme Court officer, claiming that the verdict of the case pending in the Supreme Court is 'like this'.

Chowdhury has been released after all-round protests, but questions have been raised about the state machinery running in Hachuwa.

CK Raut-led Janmat Party and Ranjita Shrestha's Civil Liberation Party chairperson Chaudhary, who had reached Pragya Pratishthan in Kamaladi on Wednesday afternoon, were taken to Dillibazar Jail by court officials and police.

The writ filed by Sharda Kadayat Bohra, the wife of police inspector Keshav Bohra, who died in the Tikapur case, is pending in the Supreme Court on June 16, 2080, claiming that Chaudhary was given illegal amnesty. The payment of the writ is set for June.

The police went towards the party program to arrest Chowdhury without even providing the basic information in the letter requesting to send him to prison. The Supreme Court inquired after questioning the authority of the officer's letter and the terminology and context used in it. 

After it was revealed that the letter taken by Bishta himself was unauthorized, Supreme Court's co-registrar and spokesperson Achyut Kuinkel clarified that investigation and action process has started on Bishta. But till then Chaudhary had been taken to Dillibazar Jail. The Supreme Court itself had written a letter to the jail asking it not to implement Bista's letter and to release Chaudhary from prison. Chaudhary, who was arrested at 1:30 in the afternoon, was released in the evening, while officer Bista was arrested and detained.

The unnatural activism of the police to arrest a citizen from a public place and send him to jail on the basis of a whimsical and irrational letter has damaged the trust in the state apparatus.
