Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police and Vice President of Gorkha Media Network Chabilal Joshi, who has been remanded for two months in Bhairawa Jail for the crime of defrauding Supreme Cooperative Society in Butwal, has become unwell. He was admitted to the hospital by the prison administration on Tuesday evening due to high blood pressure and body irritation.

The bench of Rupandehi District Court Judge Vashisht Kumar Ghimire sent Joshi to jail on January 28, saying that he could not be called innocent based on the evidence immediately received. After that, he filed a petition in the High Court Butwal bench on January 30, demanding the annulment of the district court's order.

Last Friday, the High Court also upheld the order to keep him in custody. On Friday, the High Court upheld the district order in Joshi's case and ordered another defendant, Ravi Lamichhane, to be kept in custody. After the order of the High Court, Lamichhane was also sent to the same prison block no. They are in 4. Joshi Block No. are in 2.

Jail chief Suresh Bhandari said that Joshi has had a problem with high blood pressure since before. "We have admitted him to the Universal College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) since yesterday after seeing problems with his health," he said. However, family sources said that after the order did not come, he fell ill.

Joshi is a professor and Dr. at Universal Medical College in Bhairahawa. The team including Sandeep Subedi is watching. Dr. Subedi is a psychiatric consultant.

Joshi's high blood pressure and body irritation are increasing again and other tests are being done, said Sushil Gurung, information officer of the hospital. "It seems that he will have to be kept under the doctor's supervision for another 3/4 days," he said, "only after all the other test reports are received, more information can be said." In the Supreme Cooperative Fraud Case, 25 million individual and 109.99 million 36 thousand rupees jointly have been claimed against Joshi.
