Former Deputy Prime Minister and Vice Chairman of CPN Maoist Center Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said that if the country wants to advance federalism, the police must be adjusted.

In the interactive program of 'Gantavya Gandaki' organized by Kantipur Media Group in Pokhara on Wednesday on 'Federalism: Burden or Rights?', he said that when he was the Home Minister, the work of adjusting the police went ahead, but he had to leave before he could complete it.

'When I was the home minister with the leadership of all the major parties in Nepal, I discussed the adjustment of the police. There was no agreement from anywhere . I requested the Prime Minister and briefed the meeting of the National Coordinating Council on how we are adjusting the police and there was an agreement,' he said. .
