The Kaski District Court has granted permission to remand Ravi Lamichhane and former DIG Chabilal Joshi, who were arrested for investigation into co-operative fraud and organized crime, and former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane for investigation.

On Thursday, Judge Chandrakant Paudel's bench allowed Lamichhane, Joshi and Leela Pachai, who was arrested in the same case, to be detained for an additional 7 days for investigation.

District Attorney Kamala Kafle, Assistant District Attorneys Shantidevi Sharma and Bipinraj Tiwari and lawyers Yuvraj Parajuli and Ved Bahadur Bista argued on Thursday and demanded that they be detained for another 25 days and investigated.

They have requested documents from various government offices, organizations and banks during the investigation, but they have not been received, and they have demanded that they be kept in custody and investigated.

Senior advocates Narayan Ghimire, Hariprasad Subedi and advocates Narayan Kandel, MP Sovita Gautam, Padmaraj Sharma and Madhukumar Chaulagai argued on behalf of Lamichhane. Similarly, advocate Jagannath Dhakal argued on behalf of Joshi. During the

debate, Lamichhane appeared angrily while giving his statement to the court. He claimed that he had taken the exam many times, but there was political retaliation against him. But after a while, he said that he had faith in the court.
