The government of the Republic of Korea is going to provide humanitarian aid worth five million US dollars to Nepal for reconstruction after the recent disaster.

The Korean Embassy in Nepal said that the government there made such a decision on Tuesday. The embassy said that the Korean government expects that this support will help the post-disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation and help the residents of those areas to return to their regular daily life soon.

Meanwhile, Korea's Foreign Minister Cho Tae-Yulkan, Foreign Minister Dr. Janaiu sent a message to Arju Rana Deuba and expressed his grief over the damage caused by the floods and landslides in Nepal.

The Korean government has given priority to Nepal in terms of development and cooperation and it has been mentioned that it will further strengthen the cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries. It has been 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and the Republic of Korea.
