So far, 239 people have died and 18 people are missing due to the floods that occurred last week. Rishiram Tiwari, spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs informed that another 178 people were injured.
So far, 17,120 people have been rescued from the flood-affected areas. Spokesman Tiwari said that tireless efforts are being made to operate the transport by mobilizing aid and repairing blocked highways.
