'21 projects were damaged by floods and landslides . It has been estimated that there was a loss of 1 billion 35 crores towards irrigation. Day by day it continues to increase . If you look at the past, the damage is less. We have estimated the loss of more than four billion in energy. Damage became a topic . At the moment, we are working day and night so that the electricity is not interrupted, even when the 1100 megawatt electricity is interrupted. So that there is no load shedding, Minister Khadka said in the meeting.
Kulman Ghising, Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, informed that it is difficult to maintain the electricity in the places due to the broken road network. However, he says that he is working to deliver electricity soon. He said that he is working to deliver electricity service before Dashain.
He said, 'Even in difficult places, we are working on how to rehabilitate before Dasain . If we didn't have a transformer store, the situation would have been different . We don't have much of stuff . We don't even have the things we need in times of calamity. We can restore it quickly because we have the goods . The main problem is only the road. Ten kilometers cannot be carried by carrying a pole . Due to the lack of roads, it is difficult in difficult places . But we are going to reveal soon.'
He said that he is collecting details regarding the damage caused by Kulekhani Dam and will discuss with the departmental minister to ascertain the damage and take necessary steps.
