Due to continuous rain since Thursday night, Pulbazar area of Banepa in Kavre has been flooded. Due to the high water level in the bridge, Banepa's Pulbazar area has been flooded.
District Traffic Police Office Kavre Chief Police Inspector Bikas Tamang informed that the traffic operation on Arani highway has been blocked since Saturday morning due to the flooding of Pulbazar area.
According to him, it has been a problem to open the road due to continuous rain. He informed that police, local bodies and road department are trying to open the road.
As the Pulbazar area was flooded, hundreds of passengers were stopped on the way due to the suspension of traffic on the highway. The Ganpati chief of Kalijung Gana in the district, Prakash Bahadur Singh, informed that the Nepali army rescued the patients who had gone for treatment through the highway, but were stopped in the middle of the road due to flooding.
According to him, the Nepali Army facilitated the rescue of the patients who went to the Pulbazar area of Banepa for treatment and brought them to the hospital.
Similarly, he informed that Srikhandpur, Dhaneshwar Pul, Panauti Trivenighat and other areas of the district were inundated.
