A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) has reached Pokhara to assist in the investigation of cooperative fraud and organized crime. CIB has also assigned Inspector Shishir Thapa and Sai Ravi Ghimire to Pokhara after former DIG Chabilal Joshi was arrested in Kathmandu and taken to Kaski for embezzling Suryadarshan Sahakari's savings by bringing them to Gorkha media.

On Monday, the district court granted permission to the police for five days to investigate Joshi in organized crime and fraud. According to the Kaski Police, Joshi's initial statement has been started at the district attorney's office in Rohwar.  In the

statement, Joshi has said that he became the vice-chairman of the board of directors at Gorkha Media in the early stages and left Lamichhane and Rai in a short period of time. "The co-operative's money was brought to the Gorkha media and its distribution was done by Ravi and GB. I was the vice-chairman of the board of directors in the initial stages, and I left early after realizing that I was in the wrong company," a police officer said, quoting Joshi's statement, "GB has been extracting funds from the co-operative, Gorkha." The idea of ​​bringing money to the media and spending it is his own. It is Ravi who promotes GB by showing it in PowerPoint saying that it will make a huge profit. Ravi praised GB as God.'  As the

This is the money earned by doing business and paying taxes to the government, that is what has been invested.' But now it has been proven that GB and Ravi brought that money from cooperatives in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Birgunj and Butwal. It has been confirmed that not only 655.4 million was transferred from the cooperative to the company, but all the money was spent by Lamichhane himself by cutting checks. However, Ravi Lamichhane, who opened an account with name, address, photo and signature, is not responsible for this account, and the party he leads is trying to keep its own workers in the dark.

Gorkha Media Network Pvt Ltd Chairman Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai, the then Managing Director Ravi Lamichhane and the then Vice President and former DIG Chabilal Joshi opened a joint account in Global IME Bank and took 655 million 54 million from various cooperatives including Suryadarshan, according to the report of the Parliamentary Inquiry Special Committee. The report recommended action against the four directors of Gorkha Media, Rai, Joshi, Lamichhane and Kumar Ramtel in the cooperative fraud case.  The

report was sent to the Police Headquarters on October 6 through the Parliament Secretariat, the Prime Minister's Office, and the Ministry of Home Affairs. On the same day, the police arrested former DIG Joshi from Shankhamul in Kathmandu after confiscating the necessary supplies. Soon after, he was taken to Kaski in a ship. 

Kaski Police's investigation and Pokhara Metropolitan City's investigation confirmed that Suryadarshan Cooperative's savings were embezzled by taking them to Gorkha Media. In the same case, after completing the first phase of investigation, on October 18, 2080, the Kaski District Public Prosecutor's Office filed a fraud case in the court with a demand of 1.11 billion rupees, making 19 people including Suryadarshan's founder chairman Rai as defendants. The case is pending in court. At that time Lamichhane and Joshi were out of scope of investigation. 

In January 2080, the victim saver filed a supplementary complaint with the police, accusing Lamichhane, former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun's son Dipesh. However, the investigation was blocked after the accused Lamichhane became the Home Minister along with the Deputy Prime Minister. Last time, the Kaski police started the second phase of the investigation after the parliamentary special committee started the investigation.
