Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has said that the solution to the problem between Israel and Palestine should be through a 'two state solution'.
Addressing the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) held in New York during the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations, Minister Rana said, 'The solution to the Israel-Palestine problem should be through a two-state solution.' I advanced the proposal that the solution of the problem between the two countries should be through a two-state solution. But until now, the proposal has not been implemented.
Nepal has also been raising the issue of Israel and Palestine living peacefully as two countries for a long time. In the said ministerial meeting, Minister Rana said that there should be an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Palestine.
In addition, she said that other prisoners, including the Nepali youth Bipin Joshi, who were held by Hamas, should be released. She said that the entire world should be united for that. Addressing the world's challenges, Rana stressed on multilateralism, solidarity and joint work.
