The Nepal Police has requested people to go on a long journey after understanding that the monsoon rains are continuing and the highways are being obstructed in various parts of the country. Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki said that as there is a situation of getting stuck on the road among the passengers, the general public has been requested to travel only after understanding the road conditions.

According to the police, after the incessant rains due to the monsoon, dozens of roads have not yet opened due to the floods and landslides that have blocked the roads at various places. As the rain continues, the police have asked the citizens to take special care while the possibility of further disruption remains.

Karki said that even on highways without barriers, there are jams due to traffic congestion, so people should not travel in such conditions as much as possible and even if they do travel, they should leave only with information.

The information released by the police said, 'Due to the monsoon and incessant rains, the roads are blocked at various places due to floods and landslides, and the police are trying to open the roads with the help of other related agencies, so please contact the nearest police office before leaving for a long journey.'

Police has also requested to contact Nepal Police on 100, Traffic Police on 103, Children Search and Rescue Coordination Center on 104 and police complaints on 1113.
