The government is going to run climate change adaptation and mitigation programs. Announcing the budget for the next fiscal year 2081/082, Finance Minister Barshman Pun informed that the government will run climate change adaptation and mitigation programs.
He said that arrangements will be made to operate the disaster management and climate adaptation program in an integrated manner . He mentioned that the Presidential Climate Change Management Program will be implemented to address the effects of climate change in an integrated and balanced manner.
He said that while building physical infrastructure, climate change-adapted infrastructure should be built, climate adaptation and energy efficiency should be enhanced in the construction of buildings by the union, state and local levels, and appropriate technology should be used to reduce and adapt the impact of climate change on the agricultural sector.
