The preparations being made in the context of the directive 2082 regarding the import, production and assembly of vehicles have been discussed between the auto dealers and the Department of Transport.

The delegation led by Karan Chaudhary, president of NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, held a discussion on Monday in the presence of the director general of the department, Rajeev Pokharel.

President Chaudhary opined that the points in the proposed guidelines should be discussed in detail between NADA and the department.

Director General Pokharel said that policy clarity will be brought through further discussions with the concerned agencies. He said that since there are no clear rules regarding the import of vehicles, the guidelines are being prepared.
