3 people have died and 1 person is still missing in Madhesh province due to the flood that came with three days of incessant rain. The police said that 8 people were injured in all the eight districts and the conditions of all are the same.

According to Superintendent of Police Subhash Bohra, Spokesperson of Madhesh Police Office, Janakpur, 1 person died in Saptari and 2 in Mahottari. 1 person is missing in Sarlahi. 8-year-old Prince Kumar Sah, who lived in Saptari Balan Bihul Rural Municipality 4 and was living in Rajviraj Municipality-8, was found dead.

Similarly, 16-year-old Rohit Sah of Gaushala Municipality-8 Kusmari of Mahottari was swept away by the Soni river and died. 21-year-old Man Bahadur Thing of Bardiwas Municipality-11 Khairmara of Mahottari was swept away by the Khairmara river and died.

15-year-old Mukesh Mahato of Sarlahi's Wagmati Municipality-9 Sakrol has gone missing after being washed away by the Soti river. . Police Superintendent Bohra said that among the eight districts, 3 people were injured in Rautahat, 1 in Siraha, 1 in Sarlahi and 3 in Bara.

According to Superintendent of Police Bohra, 488 people from 96 families have been displaced and those trapped in the flood  35 people have been rescued. According to him, 12 female detainees/prisoners have been kept safe in the custody of the District Police Office of Nepal Police after the water of Wagmati River entered Gaur Jail.
