Elections are underway in Rupandehi, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, and Nawalparasi, while efforts to achieve consensus are ongoing in Banke and Rolpa.

Unopposed representatives have been elected in half of the districts of Lumbini Province for the 11th general convention of the CPN-UML. Efforts to achieve consensus in two districts, Banke and Rolpa, are ongoing till late on Saturday.
Of the 12 districts of Lumbini, Rukum East, Bardiya, Dang, Pyuthan, Kapilvastu and Gulmi have been unanimously elected. Efforts are being made to get them unanimously elected in Rolpa and Banke. Out of 5 constituencies in Rupandehi, three constituencies are being elected unopposed and two are being elected through elections. The counting of votes has also been completed in Constituency No. 1 of Rupandehi and the results have been made public. Similarly, the results of West Nawalparasi have also been made public through elections. Similarly, the counting of votes is ongoing in Palpa, Arghakhanchi and West Nawalparasi and in Rupandehi Constituency No. 2. According to UML Lumbini Province President Radhakrishna Kandel, there are 82,135 organized members in Lumbini. Of these, 190 general convention representatives are being elected from geography, committees and public organizations. 7 people have been unanimously elected from Rukum East, 15 from Bardiya, 22 from Dang and 8 from Pyuthan. 17 from Gulmi, 22 from Rupandehi constituencies 1, 3, 4 and 5 have been elected unopposed. 6 from constituency 1 and the rest are unopposed. 5 people have been elected from Nawalparasi West. Counting of votes is also underway in Rupandehi constituency 2, Palpa and Arghakhanchi. Tej Prasad Rasaili from Dalits and Toj Bahadur Rayamajhi from youth under 40 years of age in Arghakhanchi have been elected unopposed. Tulsi Pasi from Nawalparasi has been elected unopposed from Dalits.
In Lumbini, there is a competition between the establishment (KP Oli) faction and the Ishwor Pokharel faction in the selection of representatives. After the Pokharel faction opposed the establishment faction's attempt to make it unopposed, voting was held in Rupandehi, Palpa, West Nawalparasi, and Arghakhanchi, which have a large number of voters.
UML Lumbini Province President Kandel said that efforts to reach consensus and elections are also ongoing in places where there are many aspirants for representatives. 'This is not a fight between the two parties, but because of the efforts of many friends to become representatives,' he said. However, many UML leaders are saying that the votes from Lumbini Province have increased in favor of Ishwor Pokharel as well.
Lumbini is the province of UML Vice President Bishnu Poudel and Yubaraj Gyawali, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, Deputy Secretary General Pradeep Gyawali, Secretaries Gokarna Bista, Chhabilal Bishwakarma, and Top Bahadur Rayamajhi. Except for Rayamajhi, all other office bearers had been active in the selection of representatives by making a strategic plan.
53 women, 19 Dalits and at least 26 youth under the age of 40 will be selected from Lumbini Province. There is a provision to elect 80 people to open positions. Chairman Kandel said that 190 representatives will be selected when 5 people are selected from the Provincial Committee and 7 from the labor organization.
