Especially among those who are stranded in this way are the pilgrims who are returning from visiting the Pathibhara Devi located in Taplejung, and some are returning to the work area after coming to the village to take tika on Dasain. 

Kamala Adhikari of Jhapa said that she was stuck due to unconfirmed information. According to him, there was a rumor that the Mechi highway was opened after the landslide was removed from Lalikhark and Ranke side of Panchthar, which was closed the previous day. Around 150 of those who had planned the journey in the midst of the noise have reached Rakhse of Ilam through the border range of Ilam Panchthar, and around 200 citizens have reached Puvakhola and got stuck .

Chief District Officer of Elam, Sunita Nepal, has advised to proceed only with official notification as it will take a few more days to operate the road.
