Clashes took place in the afternoon between Jen-G and the police, who had been protesting since 11 am in Itahari, shouting slogans against corruption.
When the demonstration in front of the Itahari sub-metropolitan office became violent, the police fired aerial fire and tear gas to control the situation. Some protesters and police were injured in the clash.
After the tear gas attack, the protestors dispersed for a while, but the demonstration is still going on.
