In Jumla, which has only one House of Representatives constituency, Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Gyan Bahadur Shahi has taken a lead over Nepali Communist Party candidate Naresh Bhanda by almost double the vote margin.
Shahi has received 1,449 votes out of 2,778 votes counted in four wards of Kanakasundari Rural Municipality. Bhandari, who was in an equal contest at the beginning, is now trailing by double the vote. He has received 735 votes. Similarly, Deep Bahadur Shahi of Nepali Congress, who is in third place, received 340 votes, while Shantilal Mahat of UML received 110 votes. Binita Kathayat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) received 23 votes. Manrishi Dhital of Pragatishil Loktantrik Party and Ranil Bikram Shahi of Janata Dal received 1 vote each. 40,897 votes were cast in 110 polling stations in Jumla.
