Sixteen candidates have registered their candidacies in Salyan for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.

The candidates are Kesh Bahadur Bista from the Nepali Congress, Ramesh Malla from the Nepali Congress, Gulab Jung Shah from the Nepali Congress, Lalit Kumar Chand from the Nepali Congress, Chandra Bahadur Khadka from the Nepali Congress-Maoist Congress Party, Lal Bahadur Thapa from the Workers' and Peasants' Party, Anisa Nepali from the National Democratic Party, Dilli Bahadur Gharti from the National Republican Nepal, Santosh Kumar Rai from the Progressive Democratic Party, Man Singh Kami from the Aam Janata Party, and Kalidash BK from the Samyukta Nagarik Party.
Similarly, Kamala Dangi from the Jan Morcha, Bal Singh Gharti from the Mongol National Organization, Dhan Bahadur Budha from the Shram Sanskriti, Dhruvraj Oli from the Independents and Juddha Kumar Singh have filed their candidacies, said Assistant Election Officer Kamal Acharya. According to him, the nomination registration has been completed in a peaceful atmosphere.
