After the floods and landslides that occurred in Uttarakhand state of India last Tuesday and Wednesday, 15 people from Karnali region have been left without contact.

According to the Karnali Pradesh Police Office, 15 laborers from Jajarkot and Jumla were left without contact due to cloudburst (heavy rain) on Tuesday in Dharali Bazaar and Paudi Garhwal of Uttarkashi district.

In a statement issued by the State Police Office, 42-year-old Karna Bahadur Singh, Man Bahadur Singh, Ram Bahadur Singh, Rabin Singh and Nim Bahadur Singh of Dhadgaon, Kushe Rural Municipality-2, Jajarkot.

Similarly, Gagan Bahadur Shahi, Ram Bahadur Shahi, Gorakh Bahadur Shahi, Hari Bahadur Khadka, Resham Khadka, Parvati Khadka, Keshav Khadka and Nirmala Khadka of Junichande Rural Municipality-2 Majkot in Jumla have not been contacted.

DIG Madhav Prasad Shrestha of Karnali Province Police said that the search for uncontacted persons is continuing.
