Intermediary Lama suspended from UML

UML has suspended two people, including the middleman Sujan Lama, who was involved in the bribe transaction related to the land of litchi garden in Batulechaur, Pokhara.

UML's Gandaki State Committee meeting held on Sunday decided to suspend Lama's membership. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the State Committee.

party state industry department member K. Giri (Kapil) has also been suspended. Giri working in Pokhara Metropolitan City was arrested with bribe in March last year.

UML Gandaki State Committee President Navraj Sharma said that both names were linked to controversial issues and were suspended as a disciplinary action until they are acquitted. ``We haven't fixed the suspension for that long . One person's matter has gone to the judicial body. Both have been suspended until they are acquitted, he said.

UML's provincial committee member Khem Pun was proposed by the middleman Lama to the then general administration minister Rajkumar Gupta to make him the chairman of Land Commission Kaski.

Article 81 of the constitution of UML stipulates that officials and members who violate the provisions of the constitution can be reprimanded, warned or expelled from their positions by the relevant committee/body, depending on the nature and consequences.

UML State Committee and Advisory Council asked Lama for an explanation . He claimed that the audio was made using AI. Since the case against Giri has already started, the party has suspended him directly without asking for an explanation.
