Nepal Rastra Bank is going to review the arrangement of more than 15 percent dividend distribution by microfinance financial institutions. Rashtra Bank Governor Vishwanath Poudel said this while announcing the monetary policy for the coming financial year.
Governor Paudel has said that the current arrangement regarding the distribution of dividends (cash or bonus) of more than 15 percent annually by microfinance financial institutions will be reviewed.
According to the Rastra Bank, loans of up to 3 lakh rupees provided to young people going for foreign employment, with or without mortgage, can be counted as loans of the poor. In the case of women, such loans will be arranged up to a maximum of 5 lakh rupees, according to the National Bank.
