Trilochan Kandel, outgoing president of Chitwan Udyog Sangh, said that they are self-sufficient in eggs, meat, chicks and grains. The first session of 'Chitwan Chintan', organized by Kantipur Media Group in Chitwan, was titled 'The Basis of the Economy: Industry or Business?' The outgoing president Kandel claimed that the poultry farm itself has replaced 50 percent of chemical fertilizers.

"If there was no poultry, 50 percent of the agricultural production would have been destroyed by chemical fertilizers," he said, "due to the release of manure from poultry farms, chemical fertilizers have not been destroyed." He said that there is the best technology in the world in the production of eggs, meat, chicks and grains.

He said that even if the government wants to increase production, it has not been addressed in a policy manner. "The state said it would increase production but did not address it politically, as a result of which chicks, grains and eggs are being brought in without customs from the border," he said, "therefore, Nepal's poultry industry is becoming stagnant, and various diseases are entering the country." Kandel said that even though the hnine vaccine is not allowed to be brought legally, it is used in 90 percent of industries in Nepal.
