Trilochan Kandel, outgoing president of Chitwan Industry Association, said that economic prosperity is not possible unless agriculture is industrialized.

The first session of 'Chitwan Chintan' organized by Kantipur Media Group in Chitwan was 'Economy Basis: Industry or Trade?'  Outgoing President Kandel has said that agriculture cannot be industrialized because the agricultural policy of the state is not practical.

State's agricultural policies are not practical, he said that technology-friendly policies are necessary. He also said that the subsidy given in agriculture is not scientific. "Our agriculture subsidies are not scientific, there is no data on subsidy takers," he said. When will the government arrange production-based subsidies? He also told that if

takes its products across the border and sells them in India, 100 percent subsidy will be given on the rent. India's Ghaziabad product is 80,000 per ton when it arrives in Nepal's Kalimati market, businessmen make a bill of 1 lakh for it. It earns 20,000 rupees in rent," he said. "Products made in Chitwan are sent to Kathmandu 146 kilometers away, and the cost is 5 rupees per kilogram. And how will the farmers of Chitwan compete?' He also stated that the state does not have the resources and management for official marketing.

He told that even if the government gives loans as subsidies to agriculture, only those who have access will get them . "Only those who have access get subsidies, those who don't have access, they don't," he said. And where does the production grow from?'
