Chandra Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has said that the confidence of common people and industrialists should be increased through the upcoming budget and monetary policy.

Speaking in the first session of the 'Economic Summit 2024' organized by Kantipur Media Group on Sunday, President Dhakal, speaking on 'Private Sector Issues in the Budget, Plans of Policy Makers', said that the confidence of the businessmen here was more stringent than required by the government of Nepal due to the covid-19 and subsequent conflicts and economic stagnation in the international arena. He said that it has decreased.

Stating that the liquidity in the bank has increased due to the decrease in the confidence of the general public and businessmen, he said that confidence should be increased through the upcoming budget.  The recovery was good after covid, then there was a crisis in Sri Lanka. "The government took more precautions than it should have, estimating that there will be a crisis here too," President Dhakal said, "This not only caused problems to the private sector, but the revenue collected by the government also decreased." Liquidity increased in banks due to fear of immediate policy change. As the confidence of the general public and businessmen has decreased, there should be a budget to increase confidence.'

President Dhakal said that the price of raw materials has also increased due to Covid-19, Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Palestine war. "There is a problem in the market due to some policy of Nepal,"  He added, "The budget is coming for this, the monetary policy is also coming. Through this, the confidence of the general public should be increased  .'
