Now there is an increase in the number of couples with childlessness problems. This problem is not only in Nepal but also in the world. There are many reasons for this happening - from lifestyle, food to the way of living, marriage late to make a life and so on. Age is the main cause of childlessness.

Every day 700 to 1000 patients come to the maternity hospital for treatment. Among them there are 4 to 500 pregnant women. 300 to 500 Gyno patients come. Among them, 70 to 80 patients are childless. 10 to 15 percent of the clients who come to the hospital come with problems related to infertility. Some village women with childlessness still do not come to town for treatment.

It is not necessary to have an IVF center everywhere to solve this problem. It is enough to have only a simple childless treatment center in the village. The MBBS doctor there will increase the chances of having a child even by making a little 'modification' about the common reasons for childlessness like how long after menstruation, how much body weight should be maintained, what to eat/not to eat, normal habits of the husband like alcohol consumption. Even if such treatment is provided by private and government health institutions, it does not cost much. He had to come from the village to the city to get such a simple treatment. If the city does not arrive at the right time, then you have to wait until the next period for treatment. If you have to wait for a month, the cost of accommodation is more than the treatment. Depending on the location of Kathmandu, Chitwan, it may cost 50 to 100,000 rupees.

Due to the increase in expenses, the Ministry of Health and the Family Welfare Department of the Department of Health Services have jointly started training on childless treatment. By making this training more systematic, it is necessary to create conditions where those who are willing to work can get it. The Ministry of Health did not only provide training. Which doctors in the community can be trained to provide the service .

We have trained 6 centers and now the childless treatment service has started in Butwal. Similarly, Seti is starting at the hospital. In this way, various hospitals are in the process of starting. However, from the management there, if the doctors work with a little 'motivation', the remote patients would get easy services.

- Experts say that the problem of childlessness is increasing not only in Nepal, but all over the world. In this context, an edited part of the opinion given by the Director of Charity Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital at the health-related round table organized by Kantipur, focusing on the situation of childlessness in Nepal, the risks it may cause in the future, etc.
