Chitwan can be developed as a hub in the health sector. Especially, out of 6.1 lakh population of Wagmati province, more than 7 lakh population is in Chitwan. Chitwan's climate, infrastructure, agricultural tourism, industry, education and health sectors are progressing day by day, so the development of new settlements continues.

There are still 8 hospitals in Chitwan. There are private, government and locally run hospitals. There are four major hospitals. Medical colleges are here . Education, Health Act 2081 has recently been passed by the Wagmati state government to develop these hospitals more systematically. Now the Wagmati state government has put in the law that nursing can be taught in hospitals with 100 beds. There is a regional hospital run by the Wagmati state government in Chitwan. The hospital which started yesterday with 50 beds . There were some deficiencies in its physical structure .

was not necessary equipment . With the investment of Wagmati Province, the hospital has been operated with 100 beds. From necessary equipment to medicine, physical infrastructure has been prepared. Government hospitals in Chitwan have been built with 450 beds and private hospitals have also been upgraded.

Wagmati Province Ministry of Health is ready to help in every way. Because, Chitwan is such a district, which is connected with the capital of Wagmati province . So Chitwan is also considered as the center of other districts. Therefore, if it can be developed as a medical hub, this district will be able to provide medical treatment not only to the citizens of Wagmati province but also to the citizens of Lumbini province which is connected together.

Because of that, the state government will have to upgrade private sector-run hospitals and government hospitals. If the ceiling of the budget is made according to WHO standards, 10 percent of the total budget should be invested in the health sector . But now the Wagmati state government is more focused on physical infrastructure. The health sector budget has decreased in the current fiscal year compared to the past. In the past, from building the physical structures of the hospitals to buying the medical equipment needed there. This year, the budget under the Ministry of Health has decreased. But since the recently passed Education and Health Act, now we can also go for PPP (Public Private Partnership) model .

If it goes like this, the health sector can be improved under the monitoring of the government. In this regard, the Wagmati State Government will work with the Ministry of Health as a focus. Chitwan is the second most densely populated area after Kathmandu, the settlement has expanded, and it has the potential to be developed as a medical hub.

Now the private sector has invested heavily . But they have some problems. There are some legal hurdles in that . Now we strongly call for the federal government or the provincial government to solve such problems and invest in an easy way. There was a problem in running the nursing college . Private hospitals were not renovated . There was also a problem due to the non-renewal of health institutions. Now that the Education, Health Act has come, it addresses many problems . After Tihar, we will focus on that.
