Mahesh Kharel, the head of Panchkhaal municipality, has announced that the money coming from his service facilities will be given to the local level affected by the flood. He has announced that he will hand over a lump sum of 1.5 million rupees for three years to the local level affected by floods and landslides.

Making an official decision from the executive meeting held on Sunday, Mayor Kharel has announced that the services received from his three-year-old city will be provided as relief to the municipalities that were damaged due to last week's rains in Kavrepalanchok district.

'I have decided to help them, even if it is small, because there is more loss of life in other municipalities than Panchkhaal,' said Kharel. As a result of the flood, Kavre has caused great damage to private residences, roads, hydropower, educational institutions, agriculture, businesses and other areas.

Central members of Nepali Congress including Kharel, Shiv Prasad Humgai, Madhu Prasad Acharya,  Ganesh Lama and others have distributed food and tripal in Namobudd, Roshi, Panauti, Bethanchok, Panchkhal, Mandandeupur and other municipalities.
