The Hetaunda-Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Fakhel-Pharping road, a short-distance alternative route connecting Hetaunda-Kathmandu, which was damaged by the landslide a week ago, will be operational from Sunday evening. The road will be operational from today after the completion of the diversion and filling work in Simkhola.

Director of Transport Infrastructure Directorate of Wagmati Province Puskar Prasad Pokharel said that after a week-long effort, the track has been opened at both locations and the final stage has been reached for vehicle operation.

The road from Hetaunda to Kulekhani Dam and the road from Fakhel to Pharping are in operation. After the diversion of Simkhola and road reconstruction in Mahalakshmi Khola area, vehicles can travel to Thankot via Hetaunda-Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Fakhel-Pharping Kathmandu and Kulekhani-Bhimphedi-Chakhel-Matatirth.  After the Fakhel Motorway was put into operation  Pokharel said preparations are being made to bring the Sisneri-Dakshinkali-Pharping road into operation within 1-2 days. Director Pokharel says that Kanti Rajpath is also being put into operation within 1-2 days. Wagmati bridge and bridge access route of Kantirajpath  A Nepali army team has been deployed to make it. 

A short distance road connecting Hetaunda to Kathmandu and Kanti Rajpath  Vehicles going to the eastern part of the country are also coming and going from Chitlang-Chandragiri via Tribhuvan Rajpath due to the blockage.
