The parties represented in the Wagmati Provincial Assembly have agreed to immediately provide two lakh rupees to the families of those who died due to floods and drowning.

An all-party meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Wagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama, held on Monday evening at the provincial governance center in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, decided to provide two lakh rupees as relief and compensation to the families living in the province affected by the disaster.

Gobind Lamsal, the whip of the ruling Nepali Congress, Wagmati Province, informed that it has been decided to immediately give one lakh rupees to the families affected by the flood and left homeless for the construction of temporary structures.

According to him, the all-party meeting has decided to immediately engage in rescue, relief and reconstruction. The meeting has decided to arrange arrangements for free treatment of the injured, to manage the physically damaged roads, bridges, electricity, drinking water, etc. through the district-based provincial offices.

139 people lost their lives in 13 districts of Wagmati province due to landslides. 55 people are still missing. 26 families were affected and 31 houses were completely damaged.
