What you should know

Once upon a time listening to Veerganj used to evoke the image of a dirty and smelly city. And he would say "Oo Virgunj" with a smile. But now the situation has changed. After a gap of a few years, the response of those who come to Birgunj is 'Aha Birgunj'.

Now garbage piles are not seen all day long by the main road of the metropolis . Traders and private establishments on the side of the main road do not legally dispose of waste paper from their shops and offices. The reason is the fear of being fined. After Birganj Municipal Corporation office started fining those who intentionally litter like this, the litterers were shocked .

In this way, the main and inner roads of the metropolis have become relatively clean after the trend of littering the streets has been discouraged. Earlier, the tractor of the metropolis, which hardly came to carry garbage in the morning, now comes 3 times daily in the morning, afternoon and evening. Kuchikars of the metropolis also extend the road up to three times . Garbage collected till night is removed from the road at night. Now the guests who come here have to turn their noses up at the garbage of Birgunj.
