According to the strategy of bringing in the private sector in the fields of energy, garments, and tourism, the investment environment was being created. After three decades, after the collapse of the autocratic regime in Nepal, the capitalist countries were deeply looking at the issues of economic policy and investment environment.

In 2050, US Ambassador to Nepal Julia Chang Block was . She came to Nepal for the first time as a female ambassador of Asian origin in 1987 at the age of 45. She announced that it will take another 20 years for Nepal to become a middle-income country.

Only two years after the collapse of the panchayat and the achievement of democracy, the Midtown Rotary Club organized a program on 'Possibilities of economic progress in Nepal' while countries with open economies, including the United States, are closely watching Nepal.
