Ziva Lamichhane is a successful businessman and author. A non-resident Nepalese living in Germany, he has a deep interest in literature. His three travel books 'Sarsarti Sansar', 'Desh Deshawar' and 'Akshat Antarctica' have been published.

What is the last book you read?

I read two books within a month. The first book is 'Bahadur Shah' by Chiranjeevi Wagle. Prithvi Narayan Shah started the unification of Nepal. This campaign was carried out by Prithvi Narayan Shah's son Bahadur Shah. History has done him injustice. Chiranjeevi has mentioned an important character in the unification of Nepal in the book. In it there are matters of quarrels and conspiracies in the palace. Bahadur Shah is a character I am interested in history. We find conspiracies within the palace full of murderous violence . Among these, Bahadur Shah has been mentioned by the author in a very simple way.

Another recently read book is 'Ardhakatti' by Krishna Dharavasi. He is one of my favorite authors. He writes his things in a very simple way. He has written the struggle in a simple way. It is a continuation of 'Adhabato' and 'Manuscript' . I found this book very readable.

Favorite fiction?

BP Koirala is not only my favorite politician but also a writer. His novel 'Tin Ghumti' is a very popular work. In it, the three modes of female characters are explained very well. The role played by the female character as a wife, as a lover and as a mother is well described in the book.

Like non-fiction ?

My favorite author is Dhach Gotame. I have read almost all his books. His writing style in his essays and memoirs is very pleasing. He writes humor and satire in a simple way. The way he has depicted the place where he lives is tempting to those who practice writing . His 'Uttoratta', 'Kalantar', 'Samjnaka Galchedaru' are very popular. His novel 'Ghamka Paila' is equally beautiful.

Book that came out recently but you haven't read it?

'Chalbato' . Now my reading  The list is .

What books do you recommend reading to the new generation?

Everyone has their own interests . You should read the book according to your interest. Those interested read history, fiction, non-fiction. It is better to read what you are interested in. If I had to recommend, everyone should read 'Mahabharata'.

This is not only a mythological book. I read this book for the first time when I was 10 years old in class 4 . A movie was released about it. See that too . While fighting during covid, I got to read a book called 'The Difficulty of Being Good' by Gurcharan Das. In this book, he has mentioned the characters, environment and events of Mahabharata in such a way that they are happening around us. He has explained the context of the Mahabharata characters with our society .

has compared Mahabharata's Dhritarashtra with the corporate world here. He himself is also a successful writer after resigning from a big position in the corporate world. While reading this book, we can compare the legendary character of Mahabharata with every character .
