”Since my children are already earning, I can manage the household expenses.”

In Aran, according to the skills I know, sickles, axes, spades, axes, khukuri, khundas, and khurpa are made. I sell the materials for between four hundred rupees for the cheapest and five thousand for the most expensive. This is how I make my living.

I have been making a living by working as a scythe for twelve years. Before starting my ancestral profession of scythe, I used to go to India and work as a laborer. I could not find any other work in the village. I am living by working as a scythe after getting bored while traveling to India. When I went to India to work as a laborer, my father used to work as a scythe here. I started doing this work after my father's ascension. Now I am doing this work daily.

I work in the Aran from 8 am to 5:30 pm. This is my daily routine. I am now 51 years old. Now I am satisfied with my scythe work. What can I do if I am not satisfied? If I am not happy with this, there is no other work to do. My house is in Gahte, Seugha Rayadhunga, Resunga Municipality-4. I work as a scythe from 8 am to 5:30 pm. This is where I spend my days. This is where I meet my friends. I am working in a rhythm of conversation.

It is not a big income from this. Still, I earn up to 15 thousand a month. In the short months, it is about 5 thousand. When the government earns 15 thousand, the household expenses are met. In the season, I earn a little more. I pay 800 rupees a month for the land rent. I have built a hut for keeping the Aran myself.

Sometimes two/three days go by without trading. This is again a heavy job. It is a very difficult job. It is a miserable job. It cannot be done without saying so. The household expenses are met from this. There is a mother, wife, two sons and two daughters at home. They are studying and intending to earn their own living. I have enough to manage my household expenses. That's why it's easy. The rest is the same. I didn't study well in my childhood. After gaining skills, I was able to do this job.

Now the elections are coming. They haven't come to ask for votes yet. But still, there are no complaints from the leaders. There's nothing to say to anyone. I do my own work, live and eat. I'm not interested. No one will spoil anything. There's nothing else to say. I'm satisfied. I'm fine. I go to vote. I do my own work at other times. I run my household expenses. I go to vote. Nothing else like that.

In Aran, according to the skills I know, sickles, axes, spades, axes, khukuri, khunda and khurpa are made. I sell materials ranging from four hundred rupees at the cheapest to five thousand at the most expensive. This is how I spend my money. I don't have any big expectations for food and clothes. Once things get normal, I'll start. I don't need to keep setting aside any money for this. Once things get normal, it'll be enough. Nowadays, I can't find workers to hammer iron.

I make what I can barely make. I don't make what I can't. It's okay when it sells. Sometimes, if it doesn't sell, it's gone. Nowadays, I have to buy coal. It's not as easy as it used to be. I have to buy wood to make it. It's not as easy as it used to be. It's hard. Coal is available very easily. I have to keep working at the same job. This is how I spend my daily life. I am satisfied with this. I am living my life.
