What you should know
There is a good orange business in Tamghas right now. Even though it is a seasonal fruit, oranges sell well even though it is cold. It is not just me, there are many people selling oranges here. But still, the orange business is good. We are getting good prices too.
I don't have to take back the oranges I have brought for sale. Sometimes, if they sell too much, I bring them back and sell them. I sell oranges in Tamghas near Shahid Chowk, in front of Chidichaur playground and around Lankuri Manch. The sales are good. Right now, this alone is enough to cover my household expenses, and I am satisfied with this.
I don't grow many oranges in my house. But, if I can sell even a little, I can make a little profit and cover my household expenses. My house is in Resunga Municipality-6. I am 33 years old now. I went abroad 10 years ago. I returned after three months because I couldn't find a good job. Now I am spending my days here in the village.
I do not have any skills . Nevertheless, I am happy that I have managed to earn salt oil . I sell oranges like this for 20/22 days a year. I have been selling them throughout the orange season. I returned to the village and worked in farming and animal husbandry . We have not left that work even now . We still have buffaloes at home for milk . After working here and there in the village, the household expenses are met . But I do not earn much . I am happy that I have managed to earn salt oil by doing whatever I can. There is no such big expense in buying food. Ordinary pulses, rice and vegetables will suffice. The clothes I wear do not have to be good. I am satisfied with what I have.
I do not think I should earn a lot. I am not greedy for such a big income. But I have to live. I think that if I earn 25/30 thousand per month, it will be enough. But it is difficult to earn even that much by working as a wage laborer. It is difficult because I do not have any skills. If I had skills, perhaps life would have been easier!
