I lost my parents when I was young. After losing my support, I didn't get much opportunity to study. I dropped out after studying only up to the 5th grade. I am now 51 years old. I have a house in Rukum West, Musikot Municipality-3, Rukum. That house was also destroyed in the earthquake two years ago. That was all I had to say about my property.

Not only the house, but also the shed was completely destroyed. Even now, we have to live in the house with 8/10 cracks in the walls. After the shed collapsed, there was no place to house a bull and a buffalo. Our family is living at risk. We have to build a shed for the animals immediately. Since the government said it would only provide funds to rebuild the house, there was no option but to rebuild the collapsed shed. It took a loan of about 5 lakh rupees. We have to rely on laborers in India to pay that loan.

I came home to celebrate Dashain and Tihar. Now I am preparing to go to India in 1/2 days. I work in a businessman's house in Mumbai, India, taking care of his parents, cleaning the house, and cooking. The monthly salary in Nepal is 25,600 rupees. 4/5 thousand is spent in India. Should I send the remaining money home to meet household expenses or pay the loan?

The produce of the house is enough to eat for 6 months. The rest of the time, I buy food and consumables. 15/16 thousand rupees per month goes towards household expenses. How can I reduce the 5/6 thousand rupees that I barely save per month to 5 lakh rupees? My daughter is married, I have been sending household expenses to my son and wife. My son Laxman is studying in class 10, my wife does household chores. I even went to Malaysia to support my family. In the end, I had to rely on India.

15 years ago, I went to Malaysia to work as a plumber in a company and paid 150 thousand rupees. When I went, I was told that I would get a salary of 70 thousand rupees excluding overtime. But when I went there, I had to work on a machine, and the salary was not more than 40 thousand. Since my health was not good, I returned home within 6 months. Since then, I have been going to India every year. If the earnings are good, I will come home for a month to celebrate Dashain and Tihar. Otherwise, it is over there.

There is no employment in the village. Only the close associates of the leaders get work in the employment program. After the earthquake, the government gave 50 thousand rupees in 2 installments to build a temporary hut, but our names have not been included in the reconstruction of the house. We were forced to build it ourselves. The loan for building the hut is yet to be paid, when and how will the house be built? I am confused. Due to the lack of party workers, we were also deprived of government facilities. If we had been able to pay the previous loan, we could have built a house by borrowing money. But, who will understand our pain?
