Nowadays, the trend of young people going abroad is increasing day by day without finding employment in the country. The attraction of the youth towards the agricultural sector is not much. Because the government has not given priority to the youth who are engaged in agricultural work. No matter how much common people like us sit here and shout, the government will not listen?
Now I am 54 years old . Having gained a long experience as a driver, I have started a new business in the village. Now he lives in Sarjunadi Tapra, Gularia Municipality-8. As a person from a poor family, he has to work hard wherever he goes. When I was a child, I went to India for a job at the insistence of my friends. I went there and learned to drive. I stayed there for a few years and worked as a car driver.
I returned to my own place to work hard in the country. From the year 2054, I also ran long distance and short distance passenger buses from Bardia to Kathmandu. I worked as a driver for about 35 years . During this period nothing could be done except to earn and educate the children.
Thinking that I would do something for the development of my own village, I got into politics by registering as an independent candidate for the post of Deputy Chief of Gularia Municipality in the local elections of 2079. I failed . After gathering various experiences, now I have started a lunch and snack shop with the aim of creating new tastes in my own place.
There is a Mero Kripa Khaja and Nasta shop on the banks of Sarjunadi on the border of Gularia Municipality-7 and Ward No. 8. It has been 7 months since the breakfast shop was operated. Khajaghar is located on the banks of the river and in the mango orchards, so there is no feeling of heat. People who are tired from working all day come here to have breakfast in the evening while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, open air and natural scenery. I have chosen a quiet and beautiful place and opened a breakfast shop in the Dhik of Sarjunadi, about 500 meters south of Gularia Bus Park.
My breakfast shop is gradually becoming the choice of customers . Customers who like to have breakfast in a quiet environment are giving a chance to serve . I have raised organic Chinese ducks and local chickens myself as I have a snack house on the banks of Sarjunadi. According to the order, I prepare and serve various dishes of Chinese duck and local chicken.
Now there are a hundred Chinese ducks from small to large. It is easy to raise ducks because of the banks of the river. About 75 ducklings are ready to hatch in the next week. After feeding, the ducks play in the river all day . Now the ducks are ready to be sold. Large ducks are 2 to 3 kg. Similarly, a pair of 15- to 20-day-old ducklings is sold for 500 rupees. Duck connoisseurs come looking for duck. Duck is sold at the rate of 600 per kg. Similarly, I have raised around 80 chickens of local, Giriraj and fighter breeds. Local chicken will be ready by next Dasain.
My wife Meena Pariyar is supporting me in this business . The injury he suffered from falling from a tree when he was a child has worsened due to his age. There is a problem of joint pain under the waist . All day long I am busy giving grass and feed to ducks, chickens and goats . He traveled to many places for his treatment. When Asti was taken to India for examination, the doctor said to do an operation . It is estimated that the cost of the operation will be around 200,000 baht.
We are a family of seven including the elderly, mother, daughter, son and daughter and a granddaughter and are dependent on this Aista . Daughter is studying in India. Since the breakfast shop is a startup, it earns 6/700 per day after cutting the expenses. Everything except water must be bought and eaten. Lentils, rice, vegetables, salt, oil, soap, clothes cost more than 10,000 per month. I have rented 5 acres of land for
business for 12 thousand rupees per year for 5 years . 20,000 is spent monthly on feed for ducks and chickens . I have taken a loan of about 8 lakhs from the cooperative while building lunch houses and other structures for business. About 25,000 monthly installments of which have to be paid . I am struggling to raise the expenses for my wife's operation while running the household expenses.
